A club for the whole community
Well Golf Club have long been a club that encourages the local Wells Community to use our magnificent facilities, promoting golf; encouraging young people into the sport, with more than ninety junior members; enabling those who cannot afford full membership to participate, for example through Pay As You Go and reduced fees for younger people and those employed in the emergency services; catering for those with special needs; supporting local charities; encouraging social membership etc. We have recently applied to become a registered Community Amateur Sports Club having worked towards full compliance over the last eighteen months or so, with members voting to support applying for CASC status in November 2023.
We are open to all without discrimination. Our procedures are open, transparent and objective and we do not discriminate on grounds of ethnicity, nationality, religion or beliefs, sexual orientation, sex, age or disability. We do not want low or modest income to be a barrier to playing golf.
As a member owned club all surpluses are ploughed back into improving and maintaining the course and the facilities we offer. We are working towards being more environmentally sustainable.
