Meet the Team

Jack Heginbotham – Head PGA Professional

Having taken up Golf at the age of 12 and becoming a local junior member and Club Champion, I then quickly progressed on to represent Somerset Golf Union at U16’s & U18’s level. Whilst studying Sport & Exercise Science at Bridgwater College I won the Somerset Schools Championships and went on to represent the South West in the English Schools Finals. I was then fortunate enough to be selected for a South West Development Squad (AASE) before turning professional in August 2011.

It had always been my ambition to become a Head PGA Professional. After I completed my PGA Foundation Degree associated with Birmingham University in 2014, I was asked to take on the role as Wells Golf Club Head PGA Professional.

Thomas Maggs – Assistant PGA Professional

Assistant Professional Thomas Maggs has been part of the staff at Wells Golf Club since 2013 and is currently in his second year of his PGA Foundation Degree. Tom started playing golf at the age of 9 and throughout the years progressed to represent Somerset Golf Union in the junior and men’s teams.
